Inverurie - Town of the Year Finalist
INverurie in the running for Town of the Year
The final contenders in the search to find Scotland’s Town of the Year have been announced.
Communities from across the country were put forward for the honour as part of the 2024 Scotland Loves Local Awards.
They have been whittled down to the final five now being considered by a panel of judges. They are:
- Broughty Ferry (Dundee)
- Darvel (East Ayrshire)
- East Kilbride (South Lanarkshire)
- Inverurie (Aberdeenshire)
- Oban (Argyll and Bute)
STP Chief Officer Kimberley Guthrie said: “The high standard of nominations received have been a powerful reminder of the amazing work going on to make communities across Scotland fit for the future, attracting investment and driving real economic change.
“Thanks to everyone who entered and congratulations to all of those shortlisted. Our judges face some difficult decisions in selecting their winners.”
